Enhancements to existing software is sometimes more difficult than building from the ground up. The nuance to make sure that the new enhancement fits into the current workflow and programming design is critical. Making sure that enhancements flow and do not bypass or break any rules is more art than science. When installing new enhancements you maybe moving to areas, channels or products that you do not have domain experience in. You are an expert in your area, but what about the new area you are moving too? Do you have FHA experience? VA experience? New products that are complex and intricate, they require good understanding of the product landscape for a successful deployment. - A conventional shop started to offer builder buydown products (builder buydowns are specialized and unique to that builder)
- A conventional shop installed an external interface to support predatory and section 32 lending restrictions.
For new enhancements that you are considering to the existing loan origination system:
- Does your internal BA staff have the expertise to provide the necessary direction for the enhancements?
- Does your internal IT staff have the expertise to provide the necessary direction for the enhancements?
- Is you internal staff at maximum capacity?
- Do you need temporary staff augmentation to support enhancement build outs to keep up with the new regulations coming out of Washington?
