Sr. Salesforce Administrator

Job Description

We’re looking for a Salesforce administrator who understands the big picture but can also tackle the little issues, is able plan large-scale implementations but also handle the day-to-day maintenance of core CRM, and who can work on projects independently but is just as comfortable working together with other admins, devs, and stakeholders.   • Responsible for the planning and implementation of solutions in environment, including related packages and tools.
  • Support the existing environment and develop solutions for multiple business units using Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and AppExchange packages.
  • Audit and resolve issues with data integrity and design permanent solutions for a clean database.
  • Responsible for environment management activities for including maintenance, configuration and troubleshooting of applications for Marketing, Sales and Customer Care teams
  • Analysis of 3rd party applications relevant to the Salesforce ecosystem for implementation suitability
  • Work with Salesforce team to manage release requirements and scheduling of solution specific activities within release process
  • Assist with functional releases in accordance with specific release management procedures, maintaining release documentation as required
  • Contribute to Test specifications, advising the Test Team on how and what to test. Supporting the Test Team in executing tests where appropriate
  • Support Solution and Development Management in the prioritization of bug and enhancement requests, and ensure that business users are kept informed on progress
  • Provide subject matter expertise on relevant solutions for new projects and solution design, and on relevant solutions to assist the support, development and testing teams in resolving system issues, performing necessary solution design, system setup and maintenance
  • Document new features and releases in accordance with accepted processes, guidelines and compliance requirements
  • Partnering with Business Stakeholders to prioritize and resolve support tasks efficiently, documenting routine solutions for knowledge share within the team and for handover to user community
  • Support users through user acceptance testing

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred but not required
  • Thorough understanding of the Salesforce platform and expertise in workflow and validation rules, formulae, email mapping, reporting, permission sets, user setup, Knowledge, webforms, approvals, large-scale processes and user flows, etc.
  • Strong experience leveraging Process Builder, Flow, macros, widgets, and console components for customized workflows
  • Strong background in installing, configuring, and managing packages, e.g. ActionGrid, Distribution Engine, Xactly, Apttus (CLM, QTC), DocuSign, Cirrus, Eloqua, etc.
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem and integration components (APIs, Apex controllers, Apex Web Services, data loaders, etc.)
  • Strong experience in orgs that support multiple languages and multiple currencies
  • Understanding of RDBMS concepts and SQL/SOQL
  • Able to interact with business users to understand requirements in order to translate them into design specifications
  • Effectively work with stakeholders and development staff to accomplish project deliverables
  • Exceptional customer service perspective and desire to support multiple areas of the business
  • 3+ years as a Salesforce administrator/developer
  • Salesforce ADM-201 certification
  • Implementation expertise and practical experience working on large Salesforce projects involving complex integration with other systems
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to craft simple and elegant solutions to complex problems.
  • Passionate about what you do and care deeply about the things you build.
  • Able to clearly communicate to technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to media, advertising, or e-commerce Salesforce implementations
  • Experienced agile background and comfortable working in sprints
  • Experience with Visualforce, Apex, and HTML
  • Salesforce ADM-211 or DEV 450 certification
  • Experienced and conversant in key business functional areas such as ERP, CRM and SCM
  • Experience with broad Salesforce app ecosystem
  • Experience working in an agile environment
